I grew up in London, just beside The Royal Botanical Gardens in Kew and it was a magical childhood. Long summer holidays spent in Cornwall, staying in a beautiful bungalow that overlooked Mullion Cove, with days spent wallowing in rock pools, finding sea urchins, armed with fishing nets. I can still taste the seawater sometimes when I dream. I’ve always loved literature, and I’m a huge fan of the short story as I have mild dyslexia which means my concentration levels are duly challenged, so this particular genre has always interested me. I studied English and American Literature at Warwick University, specialising in women’s literature of the 19th century. I’m a widow and live in Northamptonshire.
