Kevin Merchant

Kevin Merchant is a doctoral researcher in biomedicine and has been writing in one form or another since a young age. He has authored short stories, scientific blogs, and non-fiction. In his stories, he tries to blur the lines between everyday life, magical realism, and philosophy. His stories are also often imbued with cultural references and details easy to miss, which he assumes his readers will be able to unearth. His influences include literary giants like Murakami, Marquez, and Grisham, and philosopher-writers like Camus, Beauvoir, and Dostoevsky. Besides handling heavy, existentialist themes he also likes reading and writing horror/thrillers.
Kevin Merchant was born in Mumbai in ’98 and lives in Munich. He loves reading, visiting art galleries, and hiking in the Alps.
