Julie Thilges

I am originally from Luxembourg and am 24 years old. I have a BA in English Language and Culture, and I’m currently completing my MA in Communication and Information, both at the University of Amsterdam. As a result of my studies, linguistic elements and references to literature constantly sneak their way into her writing. Aside from side-hustles in journalism (credits to The Amsterdammer student-newspaper), I’ve also worked with student associations and student magazines (shoutout to TXT in Leiden) for more writing projects. I am always found brainstorming ideas or writing them down.

My writing inspiration is R. F. Kuang.

My favourite novels include (but aren’t limited to) “Babel” by R. F. Kuang, “This is how you lose the time war” by Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone, and “Giovanni’s Room” by James Baldwin.
