I hadn’t ever done drugs, but this was what I imagined getting high must feel like: pure, utter bliss. I was invincible; there was nothing that could get in my way. The feeling was just as addicting as seeing the number on the scale drop, maybe even more so.
I did not ever want to lose it.
Based on experiences I made during five inpatient stays, this is the story of how a demon called anorexia latched onto me – and how I got rid of it through hard work and music.
