“And that’s basically why my broom ended up where it did. Take a left turn there.” Emilia finished explaining, tightly holding onto Rosanna who was speeding through the skies. She had asked Bora to turn into the ring so it would be easier for them all to ride on the broom. Today Emilia felt very unlucky and lucky at the same time. “So the one you were talking to in the tavern was actually Bora. I thought you were just talking to yourself.” Emilia didn’t even try to feel any offence, as it was true that she talked to herself, just not in public. “I can see a magenta-coloured rooftop. Is that your home?” Rosanna slowed down. “I thought that was red,” Bora commented. “That’s clearly magenta.” both Emilia and Rosanna said. “Woah that was cool.” Bora giggled to herself. Rosanna and Emilia also start laughing. When they land, Rosanna stops in their track. “What happened?” They point to the still frozen drayds. “Funny story actually, I froze them because they were annoying.” Emilia’s thoughts and sentences are starting to make less sense. The injuries were starting to really get to her. “Good work, I guess.” Rosanna put their thump up. “The one in the middle of the initial instigator is called emilie.” Emilia decides out of nowhere. “What, actually?” Rosanna asks. “When did they tell you their name?” Bora also asked. “I just made it up. Can’t you tell it’s based on my name?” Emilia’s legs wobbled a bit. “Well then, I will call the one on the right Bori. No, that’s boring, how about… Bara!” Bora decided. “Mhm only me left. Can I also name one?” “Sure go ahead,” Bora responded. “Anni, because it’s my nickname.” Emilia grinned, and then her legs gave out on her. She felt betrayed, especially since she was doing so well. “Emilia!” Bora shouted, alerting Rosanna who was still observing the frozen drayds. They turn and rush over to the weak witch. “Let’s get you inside.” Rosanna helps Emilia pull herself up and supports her all the way to the door. They try to open the door, but it’s locked. “Hold on, let me just…” Emilia pulls out her wand, just pointing it to the door. This spell was simple enough and didn’t require it to be in the old language. “Open…” The door makes a clicking sound and Rosanna manages to push the door, leading Emilia inside. The ground was still covered with books of all kinds. Rosanna flustered for a bit but got themselves under control quickly. “Where is the bedroom?” They asked Emilia. “… Go left open the door then just walk straight and open that door.” Emilia feels out of it. Everything looks so far away, and she barely notices it when she is playing on her bed. That was quick, she thought. “Don’t worry, we will look after you.” Bora, who had transformed back, promised. “We still need to… discuss…” Emilia’s mouth felt heavy and the words foreign to her tongue. “I will explain everything to you later for now you need to rest.” Rosanna covers Emilia in her fluffy blanket. “Alright.” The witch closes her eyes feeling warm and fuzzy inside because she knows once she wakes up Bora and Rosanna will be there to make her smile again.
Male wyverns are dangerous dragons that like to collect shiny things and put them in one place until they all pile up so that they can attract potential mates and, to make sure no other dragon doesn’t steal from them, mark each object with their mana. Once marked, they will always know where their shiny toy is. Escape is impossible and death is inevitable.
